During this lesson, we were given the task of creating a short film titled 'Rape Awareness'. This film purpose is to make people aware of personal safety, and should attract the target audience. It is aimed at young girls mainly because they are the most vulnerable. When we researched some statistics of rape and how it occurs we was shocked at what we found. After seeing this statistics we had to think of a way in which the film would be believeable and get the message clearly across. Some statistics included that nearly all rapes are commited by people that the victim has known within their life e.g- ex boyfriends and friends.
My group chose to use this time to research the topic so we had a clearer and better understanding of the topic.
We chose the specific statistics that we are going to use within our film, and next lesson we will start to film this sequence. As our storyboards are completed, when it comes to filming, it will be easier to get down to it and create a good production, as we are all aware of what shots we are going to use and the sequence of events.
As we found in our other tasks, planning is one of the most vital parts to completing a successful film. Although the practical side of filming can takeup a lot of time, the planning helps this become alot easier as we know exactly what should be included in the film.
