A2 MEDIA BLOG.

Today we made a start on our second year doing media, this year we are mainly looking at the practical side of film for our next piece. As we are aware, it is going to be much harder and more challenging project compared to other products we have done previously, I will need to be confident in using all equipment in order for my work to be the highest standard it can possibly be.

In this lesson we used the video cameras to try and catch different types of shots in order to get used to a range of shots to make our films/ productions more interesting and technical. We tried shots such as close ups, long shots, canted shots etc and also practicing camera movements like panning and tracking. I learnt that when wanting to keep a shot and the camera still without a tripod, is extremely challenging as every slight movement can be shown especially if the clip would be sped up for an effect. This practice when using the cameras has helped me become more confident and has broadened my idea on some production work in order to make it better and interesting.
